Green tea extract is in our toner because it works. Its main active compound, EGCG, is an antioxidant that helps limit damage from UV and pollution.
What it does
Studies show green tea polyphenols reduce redness and calm irritation, and topical use can help lower oil production in some people.
What it doesn't
It is not a sunscreen, and it will not erase lines or dark spots. A product with a small amount of extract in it is doing very little.
How much we use
The Green Tea & Rose Toner contains 2% green tea extract, which is within the range used in published studies.
